Like a quality camera, the eye has both a fixes focus and a “zoom” lens. LASIK corrects refractive errors of the cornea, the outer, fixed-focus lens.  A refractive lens exchange replaces the interal  “zoom” lens of your eye with an advanced Premium IOL, allowing for clear vision at any distance; near, far, and in between.

Additionally, patients undergoing a refractive lens exchange procedure will maintain lens clarity as they age. Refractive lens exchange works best for patients who are hyperopic (farsighted) or myopic (nearsighted), and for whom LASIK is not a viable alternative.
