The Visx Star S4 IR Excimer Laser offers four-dimensional eye tracking; forward, backwards, and side-to-side two dimensions in addition to up and down (3^rd dimension) and rotational (4^th dimensional) eye movement. The IR (Iris Registration Tracker) thus eliminates any concern on the part of the patient about eye movement during the LASIK procedure.  The advantage to the patient includes greater precision and sharper vision. The Visx Star S4 IR Excimer Laser is complemented by the Wavefront Wavescan technology that allows Dr. Assil to more accurately sculpt the cornea during the LASIK procedure.

Because the Laser tracks on the natural pupil, there is no need to dilate the eyes prior to the LASIK procedure, so patients are able to enjoy immediate results.
